Improve the look 'n' feel of KnowledgeNET and enhance the useability e.g. too many steps to do things, too hard to find things, change the look of navigator, buttons and widen the page layout. Get better consistency accross the site.

Have one ePortfolio tool that does all the best bits of each of the current tools. Make it look cool, make it fun and easy for students to use and teachers to keep track of progress. It has to be portable!

Have the ability to search, upload, delete and retrieve documents from Google Docs or Live@Edu.

Also look at integrating with gmail and google calendar.

Enable users to upload and stream video in KnowledgeNET. Include a commenting facility. Cater for up to 1/2hr per video.

When you login you get taken to your dashboard which shows you all the latest activity. Gives you easy access to your groups and you have ability to add widgets to your dashboard. e.g. Announcements.

Develop an application that will enable KNet to be accessed on iPads and iPhones

If I get a homework a new homework task I get alerted. If someone invites me to comment on something I get notified. New assessment results released? Then I get notified. Just like facebook I'll be able to keep abreast of all the recent activity related to me. I can also select my notification preferences e.g. send an email alert etc

Have the ability to create an assignment for individual, group of students, class(es) etc. Enable ability for students to ask questions and get answers. Then make question/answer available to whole group.
Ability to accept late submissions. A better grading and commenting facility.

Create an entry in your portfolio who do you want to share it with? Add an event to your calendar - who do you want to share it with? Created an online lesson in KN - who do you want to share it with? Got an announcement - share it with? etc etc. Everyone you share with will get notified.

Create an 'Edmodo' type chat function area, which will enable primary aged students to have a safer (and legal) alternative to Facebook!
